3-year postgraduate programme in implant dentistry

The EAO's ground-breaking Education Programme covers a comprehensive array of topics. On successful completion of the programme, participants receive the EAO's prestigious Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry.

It combines online learning with live training sessions and mentoring on clinical cases submitted by students between modules. Feedback for the programme has been overwhelmingly positive. Email to check availability and register for the next intake.

Why the EAO Education Programme?

Each module is designed to help you increase your knowledge, hone your skills, and grow in confidence. Optimise your year-round learning experience with the Online Classroom, which contains exclusive high-quality content required for the course.

Modules include a three-day on-site training element, combining hands-on elements, lectures and live surgery. These events are hosted at six of Europe's top universities.

Receive one-to-one mentoring from some of the best clinicians in Europe. Between the modules, students will receive direct feedback from their mentors on cases which they are performing in their daily practice.

Education Programme information

The EAO has a long-standing commitment to dental education. After lauching the Certification Programme in 2010, the EAO launched its Postgraduate Diploma in Implant Dentistry in June 2016. It complements the EAO Certification Programme and provides an additional service to EAO members and the wider dental community. It has been carefully designed to offer unique benefits that are not currently provided by other programmes.

The programme is made up of six modules to be completed over a three-year period, two each at case difficulties levels S (straightforward), A (advanced) and C (complex). Each of the modules includes a three-day live learning event (LLE) at one of Europe's most prestigious universities (Malmö, Groningen, Düsseldorf, Zürich, Madrid, Lisbon). Each LLE combines hands-on elements, lectures, seminars, practicals and live surgery. The LLEs will be complemented by expert mentoring, and participants will also benefit from a unique online learning platform.

Further details about the programme and its structure is available on the introductory brochure.
