Jose Manuel Navarro, new Chairman of the Junior Committee

EAO Junior Committee, Dublin 2013

Jose Manuel Navarro (Spain) was appointed Chairman of the EAO Junior Committee on October 17 2013 in Dublin, replacing Theo Kapos (UK).

Two new members were also welcomed in the Junior Committee, Katarzyna Gurzawska (Poland), and Ferruccio Torsello (Italy).

On 10 October, as part of its 20th anniversary meeting in Copenhagen, the EAO hosted a hands-on course providing a foundation in microsurgical techniques for soft tissue management. Demand for places at the pre-congress course was extremely high and places quickly sold out.

EAO awards 2012 research prizes and certificates

On Saturday 13 October, during its 20th anniversary meeting in Copenhagen, the EAO announced the winners of its 2012 basic and clinical research competitions. For the first time this year, the Association also awarded a prize for the best poster presentation. During the awards ceremony, two people also received the EAO’s prestigious Certificate in Implant-based Therapy.
