The EAO held its 3rd Consensus Conference in Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland at the Seedman Plaza.

The 59 delegates from 17 countries are working on the following topics: 1) Implant survival and complications; 2) Peri-implant tissue destruction; 3) Computer aided implant therapy and soft and hard tissue aspects Reconstructions on implants; 4) Reconstructions on implants

 The 3rd EAO Consensus Conference ran from the 15th-18th of February.

A full participants list and more information about the outcomes, supplement publication in the COIR and the lecture dedicated to the outcomes during the Copenhagen EAO Congress will be available shortly.

Athens, October 15, 2011 – The European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) has announced a new board. The association has elected a new President and board members have been re-elected. The board will remain supported by six committees. The announcements have been made during the General Assembly at the 20th EAO annual scientific meeting in Athens.

Athens, October 14, 2011 - The European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) is currently holding its 20th annual scientific meeting in Athens. At the congress, the EAO Junior committee has elected a new Chairman, Dr. Theodoros Kapos. Despite announcements of Greek strikes, the EAO congress has been attended by approximately 3000 clinicians and researchers from all over the world.

ATHENS, Greece: This year’s annual congress of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) was officially opened with a Ceremony that took place this Friday morning in the C. Lambrakis Hall in the Megaron Congress Centre in Athens. Delegates were welcomed with words of Scientific Committee Chairmen Prof. Friedrich W. Neukam from Germany and Professor Asterios Doukoudakis from the University of Athens.

Brussels, September 26, 2011 - The European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) is organising its 20th annual scientific meeting next month. The congress will take place from 12 to 15 October 2011 in Athens at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre.
The overall theme of the four day congress is treatment planning in implant dentistry. More than 3,000 dentists, implant specialists, and researchers from around the world will attend.
 

More than 3,000 dentists, dental clinicians and researchers from around the world will meet in Athens next month to discuss some of the very latest techniques in implant therapy.
They are meeting at the 20th annual scientific congress of the European Association for Osseointegration (EAO) which will be held at the Megaron Athens International Conference Centre from 12-15 October 2011.

Dr Kold has been a dentist since 1968. He and his wife started their own practice, the Herning Implantatcenter, in 1970 in a small town called Herning, in the middle of Jutland, Denmark. It is now transforming into a family practice.

Dr Peter Lindkvist has been working as a dentist for the last 23 years. Eight years ago he and five partners started a clinic in Copenhagen, Denmark where they now work alongside a team of two other dentists, five dental hygienists and 14 clinic assistants.

The Junior Committee received 15 applications from nine countries. Over the summer the Junior Committee will select six candidates to interview during the EAO Annual Meeting in Athens where two candidates will be selected to join the Junior Committee.
