How to apply

There are two stages to the application process. The first stage involves filling out a registration request form and submitting a range of documents online via the EAO website. Candidates who successfully complete stage 1 will be invited to sit a multiple choice examination and an oral examination during the EAO’s annual scientific meeting, which is held in October. Candidates who pass the examinations will receive their certificate from the EAO’s President during an award ceremony in front of an audience of their peers.

Applications for 2012 open on March 28th and all items required for stage 1 must be received by May 28th 2012.

Items required for stage 1

  • six case studies, which must include:
    • two fully edentulous cases, at least one with a fixed reconstruction
    • two single tooth replacement cases, at least one in the aesthetic zone
    • two partial edentulous cases
    • pictures to support the cases
  • a CV with signatures from two supervisors
  • evidence of appropriate training
  • an affidavit
  • an application fee of €500 (candidates who completed stage 1 successfully will be asked to pay a further €1,000)
