EAO Activities

Here are EAO's scientific activities:

1. EAO Congress
   Since the establishment of the association, EAO has organised yearly scientific congresses. The first of these events was held in 1992 in Leuven, Belgium.
    
2. Consensus Conference
   Consensus Conferences are organised in three or four working groups, each group being guided by a Chair and a Secretary. Rapporteurs prepare review papers as a basis for discussions in the groups. The group is expected to critically evaluate the manuscripts and modify them after acceptance by the group.
    
3. Certification
   The EAO Certificate in Implant-based Therapy is the only Europe-wide standardised assessment of implant-based therapy, and forms an essential benchmark for all dentists involved in this area. Candidates interested in applying should first read the terms and conditions in order to fully understand the criteria, process, timeline, and other practical information. 
    
4. The Global Council Of Osseointegration congress
   GCO is a not-for-profit organisation registered in Switzerland in 2008 by three founding members: Prof. Friedrich Neukam, Prof. Christoph Hämmerle and Dr Franck Renouard.
