Objectives

The EAO’s Certificate in Implant-based Therapy is designed to raise standards of oral implant-based therapy across Europe. It provides a means of demonstrating to both patients and regulatory authorities that candidates are competent to perform basic and advanced implant treatments.

Certification has been introduced to support the EAO’s core aim of improving standards of education and care in implant-based therapy. It provides a way of recognising the skills and expertise of dentists practising in this field.

Through its research and educational activities, the EAO has developed a considerable body of expertise relating to oral rehabilitation using implants. The certification programme contributes to the association’s educational aims by encouraging dental professionals to demonstrate they have the skills and knowledge to practise safely and successfully.
